I took these photos in Old Town Lake Elsinore, I love the old white wood buildings with the overgrown grass. I used simple props , vintage suitcases, a chalkboard and red roses. It was about 1pm and the natural light was perfect. I didn’t have to lighten , just contrast for a perfect picture. I am going to make postcards out of these and send them out.

Have you done your Valentine cards yet ?

The Paper Mystique…

Having a studio and boutique is a work in progress. I change my mind daily on props and displays. I have a nice industrial desk with my vintage type writer, and vintage cameras.  I do a lot of my photo cards here . I still don’t have a place in my studio where I can shoot photography, but I  love to shoot right outside in Old town.

A Glorious Summer Part 2…

When the sun was setting is when we had a lot of fun taking some family photos. Leo is in mid-air in this 1st family photo. I love to shoot family photos at this beach especially at this time of day , the colors are amazing! The white sand,  the dark blue waters , the pink sunset is why this is one of the Top 10  beaches in America. I would like to come back here every year with a photographer so we could all get in the same  picture.

Next post our  bike adventure.

Have a great week !

A Glorious Summer…

A glorious summer in sunny California, it doesn’t get better than San Diegos Hotel Del Coronado. We stayed in San Diego for about a week and bike everywhere but the highlight of our trip was this glorious place. The sun was setting and the weather was warm with a beautiful pink sunset. We had dinner at the Boat House and the food was amazing. Darrill said this was one of the top ten beaches in the world. I can see why.

Have a great weekend !

A Cottage by the Lake

A cottage by the lake in Big Bear, California. What a perfect place to relax and enjoy the cool air, beautiful trees and everything right within walking distance. The beach is where we usually go but this time we decided to get a cottage by the lake. We got up early every morning and hiked down to the lake , and then we rented paddle boats and boy did we get our exercise trying to get from point A to point B which was impossible, with a four-year old steering. Next we tried to kayak, finally we rented a beautiful motor boat and had a wonderful dinner on board.  Darrill and Leo played minture golf while I had lunch at a Tea house. At night we walked out under the stars and told storys in the woods. A magical place.

I would like to come back next year and bring our bikes , There is going to be a  bike race called “Tour_de_Big_Bear. “, August 4th at the Village 7am to 4pm. Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy some of the same roads as Stage #6 of the 2010 and 2012  amgen-tour-of-california.  Whether you select the 25, 50, 70 or new 100 mile stages, you will be treated to some of the most spectacular cycling scenery in Southern California.

Next post beautiful  San Diego, Have a great weekend !

 Last summer it was newport-beach-cottage.
