Now that you have been to San Francisco, rent the movie. It was made in 1958 and just might be Alfred Hitchcock’s finest. It is certainly the finest movie score ever written for a Hitchcock movie. The composer was Bernard Herrmann, who did several fine scores for the great filmmaker.
There are so many location shots. You will be able to see what San Francisco was like in 1957/58, but as you will be able to see, the Golden Gate bridge remains the same.
